Joan (Pongracz) Sangster

Freda "Joan" Sangster, 77, of Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025.

Fiery and kind-hearted, Joan was known for her passion for knitting and all things "needles and thread/wool", weaving warmth into everything she touched.

She was predeceased by her son Winston Franklyn Ralph Pongracz. Freda is survived by her children Sherry, Quenton (Karen), and Preston; her grandchildren Avery Quinn and Winston Odin Rhys; her beloved siblings Lois (Rudy), John (Marty), and Lee; and many friends who cherished her. Joan's strength, creativity, and loving spirit will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Burnt Lake Cemetery on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. followed by a Memorial Reception at the Sylvan Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church (doors will open at 1:30 p.m. for those not attending at the cemetery).
