Jennifer Joy (Pollard) Marchuk

It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jennifer Joy Marchuk, who peacefully left this world October 21, 2025 after a courageous and lengthy battle with complications from Type 1 diabetes. She was 48 years old. 

Born on January 12, 1977 in Edmonton, Alberta, Jenn lived a life centered on love. Love for her family, her friends, and many lives she touched along the way. 

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Dave Faraschuk; children, Jacob Pollard (Melissa Smiley Kruger; grandson Zayden); Alley Gaspar (Joe Gaspar); Darren Faraschuk (granddaughter Khloe, grandson Kaysen) and Walker Faraschuk; mom, Laurie Pollard (Garry Dewald); sister, Melanie Milne (nieces Mackenzie and Emily); step-brother Marcus Dewald (Jessica Dewald; nieces Maddi and Brynn; nephew Carter) as well as countless others who were blessed to know her, including her fur babies. Jennifer is predeceased by her brother, Aaron Pollard and grandmother, Mary Dykstra. 

Throughout her journey, Jenn faced every challenge with remarkable strength, grace and unwavering faith. Her resilience and warmth inspire everyone who knew her. Even in times of difficulty, she found ways to bring light to others with her laughter, kindness, and ability to find beauty in small moments. 

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and caregivers at the U of A hospital who supported Jenn with compassion and dignity throughout her illness. 

A Celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025, at the Moose Hall in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or to Diabetes Canada in her memory.

Though her body grew tired, her spirit never dimmed. Her legacy of love, courage, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
