Jeffrey Ross Prout

Jeffrey Ross Prout, 60, of Wetaskiwin, Alberta, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2023, as a result of injuries incurred while doing what he loved - riding his Harley Davidson V-Rod.

Jeffrey (aka Jephph) was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by many lives he touched. Jeff certainly loved to laugh and we all knew his unique style of humour. Telling stories and reciting same old jokes was his way of telling you he cared. His family hopes he is riding his Harley/Indian bikes through the heavenly golden gates and playing on the blissful clouds with the those who passed before him. We will always love and miss you until we can meet again.

Jeffery is survived by his daughter, Asha (Josh); son, Ricki Ross; and daughter, Cora-Beth. Jeffrey raised alongside his own children - sons, Ashton, Cordell and the late Austin. It may seem like a non-traditional family unit from the outside, but Jeffrey's family bond was no different than if they'd all been related.

Also left heartbroken is Jeff's sister, Karen (Neil Grant). Mourning his loss also are his so loved grandchildren, Carter, Kiera, Justin, Ezra, Paisley, Cassidy; many assorted family members and many caring friends. 

Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Prout; and parents, Ted and Marie Prout.

For all who knew "The Greatest Human Being", Jeff would hope that you will do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for a friend, stranger, or loved one in his name. 

A Celebration of Jeffrey's life will be held on March 31, 2023 at Wetaskiwin Drill Hall, Wetaskiwin, Alberta. Viewing from 11:00 - 1:00 pm. Celebration begins at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a GoFundMe that has been set up for 'Jeffrey Prout Family'
