Isabel Heindel Obituary

Isabel Heindel passed away in Lacombe on October 29, 2021 at the age of 84 years. She was born in Washington, Ontario on March 8, 1937 and grew up around the Richwood area with her mother Elizabeth and siblings George, David, Greta, and Tom. After graduating from high school she worked at the Toronto Dominion bank in Paris, Ontario and bought a beautiful white Ford convertible.

Isabel met her sweetheart Lee at an NDP conference in Brantford, Ontario. They were married on May 21, 1966 in Brantford. Throughout the years they enjoyed curling together, camping, and going to rodeos. Their son Jeff was born on July 25, 1968 in Brantford. A few years later they made their way west to Claresholm where Lee worked as a Facility manager. They also lived in Grande Cache, Hinton, St. Albert, Kamloops, and eventually Lacombe. Isabel loved watching her son play hockey and was also thrilled to watch her grandson Adam play hockey and her granddaughter Faye play ringette. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she always enjoyed their visits and being driven to appointments by her grandson Brett.

She loved to watch horse jumping and racing and could tell you almost anything about horses. She was also a royal family watcher. She loved to play cards (euchre was her favorite) and she was an excellent cook.

Isabel is survived by her loving husband Lee, her son Jeff (Erin), her grandchildren Brett, Adam and Faye, and other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
