Harvey Werner Sager was born in Calgary, Alberta, to Henry and Käthe Sager. Known for his adventurous spirit and independence from a young age, Harvey grew up in Calgary, Medicine Hat, and on a family farm east of Calgary.
He attended Forest Lawn High School and spent his life as a hardworking and personable salesman, holding a variety of jobs throughout Alberta. Harvey was deeply committed to his Christian faith and dedicated much of his life to studying Scripture, sharing his beliefs, and helping others in practical ways.
Generous and kind-hearted, Harvey never hesitated to offer assistance, conversation, or support to those in need. Despite ongoing health challenges, he remained determined and independent for as long as possible.
Harvey passed away on January 29, 2026, following complications from a stroke. He was predeceased by his parents, and is survived by his sister, Ingrid (Alvin) Kakoschke as well as numerous friends and family whose lives he touched.
He will be remembered for his faith, generosity, and adventurous heart, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the 52nd StreetChurch of God, Wetaskiwin. Interment will take place prior at the Wetaskiwin Memorial Cemetery.
