It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Harvey William Collins of Ponoka, Alberta on November 11, 2024. Harvey was an Oilers fan through and through, you would find him in his favorite chair watching the game every chance he got. Some of his favorite memories over the past few years was going to the live games with his family, even after getting a jolt to the pacemaker going through the wrong gates.

His love for trains spanned decades and his passion for collecting, building and creating brought joy and pride to his life. Watching his grandkids share in the joy of his trains as they moved around the track made him so very happy.

As 1 of  8 siblings, Harvey’s brothers and sisters meant everything to him and he loved each and every one of them making sure to always keep in touch and checking in on each other often.

Harvey held his friendships dear to his heart and his daily/weekly coffee visits at the local A&W was where him and his friends would talk about all things farm, the weather and no doubt solving many of the worlds problems. Harvey was always there for his friends and would drop anything to help them out.

It is no secret that Harvey’s health journey over the last 25 years have had many ups and downs. The family would like to take time to thank all the numerous caregivers, friends and family who have all been there to support over the years. Your care has not gone unnoticed and we thank you all.

Harvey will be greatly missed by all those that knew him, he was a man of immense humor and wit and cherished every moment spent with loved ones. His family will continue to honor his legacy and live life to its fullest.
