Gwendoline Mary Hollands

On the evening of August 22, 2020, Gwendoline Mary Hollands passed peacefully knowing the love of her family was with her. Following a brief battle with cancer, she spent her final days surrounded by family in the Wetaskiwin hospital.

Gwen was born on March 15, 1952 in Dublin, Ireland. After moving to Canada in 1967, Gwen moved around Alberta finally settling down in Wetaskiwin with her Husband and 3 sons (and numerous pets).

All of you who knew Gwen would know her for her kindness, her mischievous ways, her ferocious protectiveness of her family, her strength, her immeasurable love for people (and for pets); and of course her tenacity and fight to get through tough times.

Gwen is survived by her husband, Fred; sons, Michael (Michelle), Fred (Jenell) and Andrew (Mirielle); siblings, Pam and Christopher; and her cherished grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
There will be a private family interment in rural Wetaskiwin and we will be announcing plans for a celebration of life in the future. We have appreciated all the condolences and kind thoughts during this time.
