Gloria Marie (Russell) Knight

Gloria Marie Knight, of Tees, Alberta, passed away on November 20, 2025, at the Ponoka Hospital & Care Centre at the age of 76.

Gloria was born on November 24, 1948, in Lacombe, Alberta to Norman and Velma Russell.  Gloria was the first born of 4 children and together with her siblings: Glenda, Bill, and Bob, grew up in Alix, Alberta.

On October 21, 1967, Gloria married the love of her life, Bill Knight.  Together, they had 4 children: Brian, Craig, Blaine, and Christine.

Together, Gloria and Bill farmed on the Knight family homestead.  They enjoyed many sectors of farming including purebred and commercial cattle, as well as seed grain.  She also worked as Office Manager at Chain Lakes Gas Co-op for over 30 years.

Gloria had many passions:  her family, shopping, gardening, baking, crocheting, hemming for the family, camping, baseball, and spending time with her many friends.

Gloria is predeceased by her loving husband Bill; her parents, Norm and Velma Russell; and her brother Bob Russell.  She is survived by her 4 children: Brian (Trina) Knight, Craig (Lana) Knight, Blaine (Kristy) Knight, Christine (Gary) Buelow; 11 grandchildren: Landen (Emily), Jaedyn (Reid), Erica, Emily, Alexa, Kaya, Josh, Taven, Nathan, Brooke and Cooper; and 2 great-grandchildren: Jedd and Scottie; her sister Glenda (Bob) Keller; and brother Bill Russell.

A Celebration Memorial Service will be held at the Ponoka First Baptist Church on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Saron Lutheran Church or STARS Air Ambulance.
