After a short unexpected battle with lung cancer, Gerald passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 2nd, 2022 at the age of 68. 

He was loved by many and will be missed by more. He had lived an amazingly colorful life, had numerous accomplishments and was proud of the adults both his children grew to be. 

Survived by his son, Sandy; daughter, Jannette (Dean); granddaughters, Phoenix and Laila, and numerous friends. 

Predeceased by his mother and father, Annette and Roger, as well as his brothers, Richard, Donald, and Clement; his "bro" Eldon Goodbody, and his best friend and companion Harley (dachshund). 

" He never looked for praises

He was never one to boast

He just went on quietly working

For the ones he loved the most.

His dreams were seldom spoken

His wants were very few

And most of the time his worries

Went unspoken too.

He was there... A firm foundation

Through all our storms of life

A sturdy hand to hold

In times of stress and strife.

A true friend we could turn to

When times were good or bad

One of the greatest blessings

Was the man that we called our Dad."
