Frieda Meta (Pohl) Rausch

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away peacefully on May 11, 2019 in Ponoka, Alberta at the age of 92 years.

Frieda is survived by her son Merle; daughters Karen (Laurie) Baldwin, Beverly (Bryon) Schimpf, and Gail Newton; grandchildren Greg (Brandi) Rausch, Jeff (Jackie) Rausch, Gillene Butler, Aleesha (Alex) Duarte, Nicole Rausch, Clinton Schimpf, Melissa (Mike) Schimpf, Diana (Mike) Baldwin, and Logan Newton; nine great-grandchildren; her sisters Hilda (Herb) Buss, Margaret Losinski, and Mary (Ross) Fleischmann; as well as one son-in-law Kevin Newton; and two daughters-in-law Trudy Rausch and Betty Rausch.

Frieda is predeceased by her parents Ottilie and Emil Pohl; her husband Otto; sons Gerald and Wayne; brothers Herbert, Arthur, Reinhardt, Norbert; and Sister Elsie.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, Ponoka, Alberta.

In Frieda’s memory, donations are gratefully accepted to the Golden Leisure Lodge (Rimoka Housing Foundation) in Ponoka, Alberta.
