Fred is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Emily; children, Sharon, Colleen, Myrna (Irving), Mitch (Marlene), Kevin (Holdie) and Shelly (Kevin); 28 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Christine (Lorne), Linda (Dave); sister-in-law, Marge Anderson; aunts, Adele Garson and Bernice Mackowetsky; his adopted brother, Najib (Liala) Krameddine; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
Fred was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Nellie; sister, Helen Stoyka (at birth); step-father, Mike Skaskiw; grandchildren, Amber Buffalo, Shane Yellowbird, Raven Buffalo and Katherine Buffalo as well as numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts and uncles.

Buffalo, Mackowetsky, Krushelniski, Garson, Balaberda, Karapita, Stanko, Stoyka (Ukraine), the Basilian Fathers and Sisters of St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, the Grocery People, Loblaws, and the families from the Big M and Lucky Dollar Foods, Samson Cree Nation, as well as all of the members of the community of Maskwacis. We apologize if anyone was missed, it was not our intention.
Prayers: Friday, January 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Chapel in Wetaskiwin with a Visitation to follow until 6:00 p.m.
Funeral Service: Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
