With heavy hearts, the family announces the peaceful passing of Fransiena Maria Bukkems.

She is survived by her son, Tom (Elaine) and their children: Shalaine (Alyc) and Trenten (Christian); daughter Johanna Bukkems (Tom Campbell); son Walter (Donna) and children, Steven (Brandy), Christine, and Anthony; son Peter (Bonnie) and their children, Brayden and Dalton; grandchildren Shalin and Tanner (Tarin); son, Tony (Susan); daughter Nellie (Greg) and their children Kirsten and Kyle; daughter Frances (Dallas) and her children Brandon (Mckayla), Dustin (Payton), and Jaycee; her five great-grandchildren Gabriel, Daxton, Treyden, Lucas, and Hayes; as well as  numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Fransiena was the last sibling in her family of eleven. Predeceased by her loving husband of over 50 years, Anton, and her son Henry. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Schlenther and Dr. de Wet, as well as the caring staff at Sage Brush for their continued care. We also would like to thank the members of CWL for their prayers and support. 

The funeral service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wetaskiwin on Friday, July 17th, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at the Wetaskiwin Memorial Cemetery.
