Frank Chu

Frank Kwok Cheung Chu (朱國章) passed away peacefully on January 7th, 2025, at age 68, at the Wetaskiwin Hospital. 

Born on March 29, 1956, in Hong Kong, China. Frank was a cherished son, brother, husband, father, and friend. Frank was predeceased by his sister Karen and leaves behind his two other sisters, Chu Kung Ying & Jolene. 

Frank was a devoted husband to Cita, his beloved wife of 25 years. He was a proud father to seven children, Frank, Tanya (Michael), Benjamin (James), Stefan, Kiya (Cheyanna), Alexa (Jason) and Anthony, and doting grandfather to April, Timothy, Lukas, Maverick, Willa, Hazel, and Maya. He loved and appreciated his many brother and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Frank was a loving uncle to Amy, Sandy and Dixon. 

Frank was a committed and hard worker, first pursuing a career in printing, car sales and later finding a passion to give back as a care worker for Catholic Social Services. 

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Frank nurtured a life long passion in Chinese Martial Arts, Photography, Music and philosophy. He believed strongly in his faith and was a dedicated member of the Catholic Church. 

Frank’s passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of everyone who knew him. His legacy of care, strength, and compassion will be remembered and cherished by all.

In celebration of Frank’s life the following services will be held: 

Thursday, January 16th from 7:00 PM- 9:00 PM| Prayer service and viewing at Baker Funeral Chapel ( 5302 - 50 Avenue, Wetaskiwin) 

Friday, January 17th at 11:00AM | Funeral Service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (5113 49 Ave, Wetaskiwin).

Cremation will take place following the service.
