Frances Josephine Sargent

Frances Josephine Sargent (nee Hug) was born March 24, 1923 on the family farm at Gull Lake, Alberta, to John and Gertrude Hug. She passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Camrose, Alberta with family by her side. Left to morn are her children: Kathleen Roe, Rodney (Sandy) Sargent,  Marilyn Swanlund, Roy Sargent,  Janice Sargent, and James Sargent; son-in-law John Stirling; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and niece and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Richard; daughters Amey Williamson, Shirley Stirling, and Teresa Craig; grandson Richard Sargent;  Sons-in-law Ernie Williamson, and Wayne Dahl; foster son Greg Prezlak; and her eleven siblings and their spouses. 

A Prayer Vigil will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Parish, Bashaw, at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Parish, Bashaw, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026.
