Florence Roos Obituary

Florence Audrey Roos (née Kolody) of Wetaskiwin, passed away on March 15th, 2023 at the age of 89 years.

Florence was born in Wetaskiwin on January 10th, 1934, the only daughter of William and Nellie Kolody. She was raised in the Fletcher District where she attended school. She later finished high school at Falun. She spent a couple of years at home and later married her neighbour Oscar Wolf with whom she had sons Dennis Charles and Brian Douglas. After Oscar passed away Florence bought a house in Wetaskiwin. She travelled a lot, going on bus tours, plane trips overseas, cruises, and best of all, an around-the-world trip on the supersonic airliner Concorde.

Florence is remembered by her two children Brian (Elizabeth) Wolf and Dennis (Josephine) Wolf; five grandchildren Mark (Shaley), Chad (Emily), James, Derek, and Catherine; three great-grandchildren; and her brother Ken (Edith) Kolody.

Florence was predeceased by her first husband Oscar Wolf, second husband George Roos, and parents William and Nellie Kolody.

A private family service is being held.
