Evva Margaret MacKay
January 29, 1933 - June 8, 2022

With heavy hearts, we announce that Evva MacKay (nee Chiles) passed away in Wetaskiwin at the age of 89 years.  Evva is survived by her children, MaryLou (Mark) Fraser, Ken (Peggy) MacKay, Barbara (Trevor) Beck, and Doug (Crystal) MacKay; grandchildren, Jody (Tara) Dickau, Kim (Paul) Tremblay, Dan (Bonnie) Dickau, Kevin (Tamara) Dickau, Scott MacKay, Melanie (Mike) Krause, Rachel Beck, Kirstie (Jason) Schatz, Josiah (Kyla) MacKay, Hannah MacKay, Tim MacKay; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Brayden, Joshua, Alana, Sarah, Dawson, Konah, Khalia, Adam, Lauren, Ryan, Aubrey, Liesl, Jase, Raelee, LePang, Alex, Keanan, Gordon, and Paris; brother and sisters, Norman (Margaret) Chiles, Belva  Westerby, and Joyce (Malcolm) Grant, as well as numerous extended family members and many friends.  

Evva was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Donald; her parents, Ellen and Elwood Chiles; her granddaughter, Kerri as well as her siblings Melba (Ab) Odenbach, Bill (Evelyn) Chiles, Gordon (Elaine) Chiles, Marion (Lyle)Scott, and Dave Westerby.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Wetaskiwin, Alberta. 

Donations in Evva’s memory are gratefully accepted to the Wetaskiwin Health Foundation - Palliative Care, or the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.

The family would like to give  thanks to the staff of Wetaskiwin Hospital for their tremendous patience and care that they provided over these past months.  They were truly amazing!  Thank you!
