Erin Tracey Chernick

Erin loved the challenges of life.  She loved nature and animals.  She loved to run and bike and participated in several Ironman events and numerous Marathons.  Erin graduated from the University of Alberta and went on to Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, USA, to earn her Doctorate in Chemistry.  She acquired her Professorship at the age of 35 in Tuebingen, Germany and returned to Canada to continue her research at the University of Victoria.

Erin was a caring person who tried to help other people.  She was brilliant.  Erin was like fireworks - bright, beautiful, and a joy for everybody, but only for a short time.

Erin leaves behind her parents Dennis and Leslie; her sister Morgen and her daughter Emma, who she truly loved, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family would like to deeply thank Rita and Erwin for their caring assistance with this tragedy.

 Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to Old MacDonald’s Kennels, Box 12, Site 7, R.R. 1, Ponoka, AB T4J 1R1.

 A private family service will be held at a later date.
