On February 7, 2025 Elizabeth “Betty” Elnice Schnick of Ponoka passed away at the age of 91 years.
Betty is survived by a special friend and relative, her caretaker May Hollman; nieces and nephews Arnold Labrentz (Doreen), Alma Carutthers, Lori Williamson (Monty), Raymond Nieman (Bunny), Dorothy Hishekorn, Richard Nieman (Mardonne), Lenard Wedman, Leona Workun, Ron Wedman, Eleanor Stallknecht, Wilfred Schnick (Sylvia), Carolyn Myers (Ken), Clifford Schnick, Eileen Snider (Ernest), Charles Schnick, Wayne Schnick (Sharon), and Ken Schnick (Donna).
Betty was predeceased by her parents Karl and Paulina Schnick; and all of her siblings: Rosalee Nieman (Sam), Bill Schnick (Bertha), Augusta Nieman (Bill), Walter Schnick (Pearl), George Schnick (Alice), Olga Labrentz (Louie), Ella Wedman (Nic), and John Schnick. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2025. (livestream link located below)

Thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Ponoka Hospital & Care Centre for the care Elizabeth received there. Thank you to Ponoka Seasons Home staff where Elizabeth made her home for the last 13 years.
