Elizabeth Caroline (Hauck) Cartier

Elizabeth Caroline Cartier of Bashaw passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital in Camrose on September 20, 2021 at the age of 98 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children Lorraine Janke (Willie), Cherryl Ensign (Dwayne), Albert Cartier, Annette Tews (Marvin), Declan Cartier (Mary Ann), and Donna Lowe (Butch); her grandchildren Desiree (Graham), Mike (Judy), Tammy (Alan), Leigh-Ann (Peter), Murray (Raelene), Jo-Ann, A.J., Dayleen (Bill), Dayna (Stephan), Dale, Emily, Falon (Brian), Candice (Rob), and Jordan; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandsons; her siblings Josephine, Norbert, Vi, and Lorraine (Dave); as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.  She was predeceased by her husband Gordon Cartier in 1993; her great-great-granddaughter Logan Marie; as well as 9 siblings.

Due to the current restrictions, a private family Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Bashaw followed by the Interment Service at the Donalda Cemetery.  A public Memorial Reception will be held later that day (approximately 4:00 p.m.) at the Buffalo Lake Event Centre (formerly the Bashaw Valley Lodge).  Following government restrictions, the refreshments will be served outdoors.  Anyone who wishes to pay their respects and visit with the family are welcome to attend.
