JOHNSON, Edward T.
1936-2025
Ed Johnson passed away on November 17, 2025 at the age of 89 years.
He is survived by his four children, Terry (Sue), Wendy Neufeld (Doug), Bruce (Jeanette), Rex (Jeannette); stepdaughter, Denise Anderson; daughter- in- law, Colleen Hutchinson; as well as 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Theodore and Jeanatte; loving wife, Florence; stepson, Ted Hutchinson and son-in-law, Greg Anderson.
Ed was born in Provost, Alberta on March 19, 1936, and lived in the Hussar area until moving to the Central community area north of Gwynne in 1942 where he attended Crooked Lake School. After completing grade school, he attended Vermillion Agricultural College, graduating in 1955.
Ed stayed on the family farm and farmed as well as worked in construction as a truck driver and as a heavy duty mechanic.
In 1999 he left the farm and moved to Wetaskiwin where he resided until his passing.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Wetaskiwin Seniors Centre, (5216 54 St. Wetaskiwin)
