Edith Mildred Jewett

Edith passed away at the Wetaskiwin Hospital May 11, 2023 with her family by her side. Edie is survived by her husband, Fred; daughter, Sandi (Justin); son, Rob; grandson, Ryan and great grand-daughter, Kinsley; step-daughters, Tammy (Dave) and grandson, Anthony; Theresa (Frank) and grand-daughter, Montana (Eric); brothers, John, Jerry, Gene (Brigette), Steve (Kate); sister, Trudy (Ken); sisters-in-law, Iris and Janet; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Edie was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Violet Archibald; brothers, Harry, Robert and Patrick; sisters-in-law, Lillian and Beverly.

Edie was born February 24, 1951 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. She married the love of her life Fred on December 12, 1970 and they shared many wonderful years together. As well as being a devoted wife and mother Edie held a few jobs over the years including Canada Post, and guard at the RCMP Wetaskiwin detachment.

After retirement Edie and Fred made two trips to Arizona where they stayed a few months. Edie really enjoyed these times. Edie loved her family and always made sure to call them on their birthdays to let them know she was thinking of them.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at the Wetaskiwin Hospital Long Term Care Unit #33 for the wonderful care they gave Edie during her extended stay there.
