Eckhard Franz Kiel

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the peaceful passing of Eckhard Franz Kiel on August 5, 2022 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. Eckhard was born on January 22, 1935 in the former German city of Stetin.

Eckhard is survived by his wife, Kelly; their fur baby, Maggie; sisters, Waltraud (Bob), Ruth (Jim); nephew, Eric (Karli) and family; niece, Andrea (Brett) and family; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald (Wendy), Valerie (Terry), Sharon (Larry), Renee, Darren (Michelle), Bill (Kim), Lisa (Kevin); longtime friends, Randy and Marlene Richards and family; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Eckhard was predeceased by his parents, Reinhold and Meta Kiel; and sister, Gertraud.

A Funeral Service will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Church on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
