Douglas Roland Melinchuk

On November 25, 2024 Douglas Roland Melinchuk of Bashaw passed away at the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre at the age of 84 years.

Doug is survived by his wife Sharon Hauck of Bashaw; daughters Sherryl (Rick) Barnes of Kamloops, BC, Diana Melinchuk of Salmon Arm, BC, Linda (Brian) Hartley of Sidney, BC, and Louise (Mike) Grdic of Malakwa, BC; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 5 step-children; 8 step-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; cousins Gerry (Sherrin) Melinchuk of Salmon Arm, BC and Sandra Hamilton of Vanderhoof, BC; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Doug was predeceased by is parents Nick and Lucy Melinchuk; daughter Carolin Melinchuk; sister Violet Meda; as well as a step-son, several aunts, uncles, other in-laws, and relatives.

Friends and relatives are invited to gather at the Bashaw Cemetery on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with a reception following at the Royal Canadian Legion in Bashaw.
