Passed Away – January 11, 2023 in Ponoka, Alberta

It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Dorothy Schultz announces her passing at the age of 94 years.

Dorothy was a strong-willed lady. Although she chose to live an independent life, family and friends were always an important part of her life whether it was a visit at home, or a trip to the family farm. You could always find Dorothy busy doing whatever needed to be done. The endless garden work, sewing and mending clothes for everyone, or knitting a sweater for that someone special.

Up until recently Dorothy was able to live in her home with the wonderful support of her family and FCSS. Dorothy’s family is very appreciative for the care and kindness she received at the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre.

Dorothy was predeceased by her parents William and Olga Schultz; siblings Alvena Ritter, Josephine Albert, Annie Zimmerman, Theadore (Ted) Schultz, Fred Schultz, Gretta Schimpf, Hazel (Hadie) Schultz, and Victor Schultz.

Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her family.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Ponoka Funeral Home on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.  The Funeral Service will be live-stream broadcast at service time and the recording will be accessible for the next 90 days.  The video link is located below.
