Dorothy Mae (Odegard) Ames

Mrs. Dorothy Ames of Bashaw passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Camrose on April 19, 2018 at the age of 91 years.

Dorothy will be sadly missed by her daughters Sharon (Stan) of Carstairs and Bev of Bashaw; three grandsons Michael (Tracy), Evan (Alicia), and Christopher; and granddaughter-in-law Julie.  Dorothy took great pride and got great enjoyment from her great-grandchildren Kennedy, Avery, Peyton, Dawson, Azlyn, Kadance, Crosby, and Lachlan.  Also left to mourn are nieces, nephews, and many long time and much loved friends.

She was a gracious hostess and avid gardener and enjoyed both activities all her life.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Charlie; parents Peter and Dorothy Odegard; brother Daniel; and grandson Brant.

Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to Canadian Lutheran World Relief or the Meeting Creek Cemetery.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Bashaw.  Following the Memorial Reception (lunch), the Interment Service will be held at the Meeting Creek Cemetery.
