Donald Erfurt

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Erfurt at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on March 31, 2021 at the age of 83 years.

Donald was born in Stoughton, Saskatchewan on November 19, 1937, the oldest of five children. After school, he worked for OK Economy for many years in Saskatchewan and Alberta which eventually brought him to Ponoka. He later went to work at Centennial Centre, where he remained until his retirement.

In years past, he liked to bowl. He always went home to Saskatchewan, twice a year, at Christmas and for his summer holidays, for as long as his mother was alive and for a few years after until his health precluded his long trips home. Whenever he got together with family there were always marathon card playing sessions.

He is survived by his brother Alan (Pearl); his sister June; his sister Margaret (Lorne); as well as eight nieces and nephews.

Donald was predeceased by his father David (1978); his mother Molly (2004); his brother Bud (2001); and his brother-in-law Floyd (2011).

Interment will take place where his life’s journey began, in Stoughton, Saskatchewan, where his parents and brother are buried.
