Dianne Marie Brunas
November 24, 1955 ~ February 18, 2026
Dianne Marie Brunas passed away peacefully in Wetaskiwin at the age of 70. She was born and raised in the Wetaskiwin and Cloverlawn communities. Dianne was predeceased by her parents, Arthur & Evelyn Brunas.
Dianne loved to recount tales of farmlife with her pets and animal friends, but she especially enjoyed the warmth of neighbors, old-fashioned house parties, and community gatherings. Music was always significant in her world as her parents were frequent entertainers for local events, singing and playing instruments together. Dianne was gifted with excellent rhythm and often accompanied them with her maracas. Following her mother's passing (1985), Dianne and her dad eventually moved into Wetaskiwin where she joyfully worked at Horizon's Centre and participated in all of their social events.
Happiest times were attending concerts by visiting country singers, dancing at any opportunity, camping with family, working at Horizons Centre, Camp HeHoHa,Disneyland, and finally even cruising in the Caribbean Islands where she became popular on the ship and recognized as the 'Queen of Karaoke'.
Dianne's sunny disposition won friends wherever she went. This was true again the last years where staff at The Good Shepherd Home enjoyed her company. She will be missed by her cousins, extended family, and a host of friends.
A memorial for Dianne will be held on Friday, April 17 from 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Horizons Centre in Wetaskiwin (5431 36 Ave).
