Derrill will always be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Linda; his son, Dwayne (Cathy) and grandchildren, Shayla (Ryan) and Tyson; his daughter, Lynette (David) and granddaughter, Breanna (Brett), step-grandchildren, Cody (Bryn) and Katie (Levi) and step-great-grandchildren, Cass, Oaklynn and Otto; siblings, Lynne Moser, Brian (Mary Lou) and Sandra (Dwayne) Bonnett; sisters-in-law, Gladys and Doreen, brother-in-law, Dale (Ella) Unland, sisters-in-law, Fern Unland and Lorna Denis as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and many friends.
Derrill was predeceased by his daughter, Machele; parents, Carl and Enid; brothers, Ronald, Donald and Bill; sister-in-law, Leona; brother-in-law, Chuck Moser; parents-in-law, Ken and Jane Unland; brothers-in-law, Phil Unland (Maureen), Walter Unland and Michael Denis.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Chapel.
In Derrill's memory, donations are gratefully accepted to the Wetaskiwin Health Foundation - Palliative Care Unit, Hegge Cemetery Fund and the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation Canada (DRIFCan).
