Declan Langabeer Coulombe Obituary

On July 4, 2026, our family suffered an unimaginable loss with the sudden passing of Declan Langabeer Coulombe at just 16 years old.

The heartbreak of losing Declan is felt deeply by his mother, Bee Langabeer; his father, Brent Coulombe; his grandparents, Julia Langabeer, Jorgen Sorensen, Joanne McNeely and Dave Gingell. This profound loss is shared by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, teammates, and the countless people whose lives he touched.

Declan was one of those rare people who brought others together. He connected families, strengthened friendships, and built a village of people who embraced him, supported him, and loved him as their own. He will be forever missed by the Langabeers, Coulombes, Giacobbos, Reids, O’Neil, Lipkas, Palmers, and the Reynolds Clan, along with the many other families and friends who were lucky enough to have Declan as part of their lives.

Declan was a burst of goofy energy, kindness, love, and light in the lives of everyone who knew him. His incredible sense of humor, generous heart, and ability to make people laugh left an unforgettable mark on countless lives.

Declan lived life fully and found joy in the moments that mattered most. He loved the solitude of fishing and the challenges of mountain biking. Hockey fed his competitive side and helped to build unbreakable bonds shared by his teammates. Declan loved the ocean and was naturally drawn to beauty that he found from surfing.

He loved food (including the time he ate an entire octopus) and, of course, candy. Naturally athletic, he had an effortless strength and determination that allowed him to excel at almost any sport. He approached life with energy, curiosity, and joy, and at the gym, he was always one of the guys to beat.

Declan loved building blanket forts for pizza movie nights. He cherished the freedom that came from driving around with his friends with the music cranked, chasing new adventures, and making memories from the everyday moments that will be treasured forever.

Declan was genuine, fearless, and never afraid to be himself. He was the first guy off the biggest bike jumps and the last guy off the water after a day of fishing. He brought his full personality into every room he entered. His smile, his laughter, and his unmistakable presence brought joy wherever he went. And that smile… it was truly contagious.
