Geraldine Maureen Elder
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful woman, Geraldine Elder, on March 12, 2021 with her family and friends by her side.
Geraldine was born on March 3, 1951 in Shoal Lake, Manitoba, to Muriel and Thomas Anderson.
Deane grew up in Manitoba and as years passed, she moved to Ponoka to pursue a career in psychiatric nursing at Alberta Hospital (A.H.P.).
Deane made a lot of lifelong friends during her years working and living in Ponoka.
Eventually, Deane moved to Red Deer and continued her psychiatric nursing career until her retirement.
Deane had a real passion for sewing. She created many beautiful pieces and put love into every stitch as she created for others. Many family and friends own a gifted creation from Deane.
Shopping and being with family and friends were a favorite for Deane, and there was always a lot of laughter going on when they were around.
Deane will be forever remembered by her son Bradley Elder; mother Muriel Anderson; sister Deb Freeman; brother Allie Anderson; sister-in-law Carolyn Anderson; her family and friends she adopted as her own, Jeremy (Shannon) Deleeuw, Paris, Lyric Yvonne Deleeuw, Yvette, Jacinta, Alyssa, Roland (Rachelle) Deleeuw, Tony Deleeuw, Allen Deleeuw; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
“I will love you always mom, rest in peace.” Brad ♥
