Obituary
It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of David Grant Hoybak, of Ponoka, announce his passing on September 7th, 2023, at the age of 80 years.
Dave will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Barbara; two children Melanie Dobler (Dan) and Tina Moore (Scott); six grandchildren: Richard Hoybak, Craig Hoybak, Stephanie Moore, Tyler Dobler, Riley Moore, and Terrin Hanson (Braden); two great grandchildren Tayla Hoybak and Ryker Hoybak; one younger sister Doris Overbo and one younger brother Carl Hoybak (Shirley); as well as numerous relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Grant and Blanche Hoybak.
A Graveside Service will be held at the Asker Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 - all are welcome. A Memorial Service will follow later that day at 2:00 p.m. at the Ponoka Funeral Home. Refreshments and fellowship will follow the service in the Stagecoach Saloon on the Ponoka Stampede grounds.
Memorial donations, in Dave’s name, may be made to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation at the University of Alberta or the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation in Calgary.
