Darryl Dwayne Hinkley

Darryl "Bub" Dwayne Hinkley was born December 23, 1949 and passed away January 9, 2026, both events occurred in Ponoka, Alberta.

He is survived by his siblings David (Johanna), Debbie (David), and Dianne. He was predeceased by his grandparents John and Louisa Hinkley, and Oliver and Caroline Greenwood; sister Donna (1961); mother Dorothy (1981); father Dwayne (2002); and  partner Darlene Somerville Bilan (2008).

Bub did move away a few times to try out city living, but always drifted back to where he was most comfortable, among the familiar places and faces of Ponoka.

An Internment Service will be held at Forest Home Cemetery in Ponoka on  Friday, March 13, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a gathering to remember Bub at the Ramada Hotel, Ponoka.

Friends and relatives are invited to join the family for refreshments and to share their stories of our brother, Darryl.
