Colette Haak Obituary

It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of Colette Haak after a 5 year battle with cancer (Hodgkin’s Lymphoma). Colette passed away with her loving family by her side. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Colette will forever be remembered by her beloved husband of 35 years, “My David” Haak; son, Jeffrey Jackson; stepson, Michael (Patience) Haak; grandchildren, Jesse Jackson (Paige), Faith-Anne Jackson, Phoenix and Icess Haak. Colette also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and beloved friends.
Colette was predeceased by her parents, Aime and Yvonne Nantel; sister, Claudette Trifunidy; stepson, Clinton Haak and grandson Ethan Haak.
Colette will always be remembered for her childlike love for life, infectious smile, amazing sense of humour, love of music and puzzles. She brought so much joy and a smile to everyone she came in contact with. Comedy was the best medicine for anything that ailed her.
Colette’s greatest passion was talking to her family and friends and also meeting new people. Anyone who knew her instantly fell in love with her which fell in line with Colette’s favorite saying, “Gotta love me!”
Respecting Colette’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In honour of Colette, memorial donations can be made to the Stollery Children’s Hospital and Cross Cancer Institute.
