Cliff was born to Klaas and Helena Reimer on February 25, 1932. He grew up as a farm boy in Manitoba. He moved to Calgary, where he finished his auto mechanic certification. He then went to Bible School at Mountain View Bible School in Didsbury, graduating in 1959. During this time, he met and married Eretta Goetz in 1958. After Bible school they went to Japan as missionaries in 1961, serving with New Life League, in literature production. During this span of 22 years, the press produced Bibles and Christian literature for the developing world. After their time in Japan, they moved to Sri Lanka to help establish another print shop, under New Life League, doing the same kind of work. They lived in Sri Lanka for 8 years. The work in both countries continues, shipping container loads to various countries. Following their time in Sri Lanka, they moved back to Canada, doing mission representation well into retirement years, and settled down in Ponoka.
He was predeceased by his parents, his sister and brother. He is survived by his wife Eretta; his 3 sons: Mark (Chris), Andrew (Iris), and Sam (Mary Beth); and his daughter Eunice. He is also is survived by a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces, and their families. He is in heaven awaiting the arrival of his family and those whose lives he touched and who touched his life.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Open Bible in Ponoka.
