Our Papa, Clarence Martin Schultz, passed away on January 10, 2026. He was deeply loved by all who knew him and will be missed. We find comfort in thinking of him and his wife, Barb (Baba), together again.
Clarence is survived by his daughter, Elaine (Rick) Stenlund; son, Darren Schultz; granddaughters, Ashley (Mike) Cunningham and Danielle (Scott) Hagstrom; great-grandchildren, Austin, Whitney, Levi, Ben, and Harvey; loving companion, Maria Tremblay; and sister, Hadie Salmon.
Papa’s life was defined by the land. Farming was not just his livelihood but who he was. He loved the farm and the life he built and remained connected to it until the end, still meeting friends for coffee at the Wednesday auction shortly before his passing. He valued the steady work of the farm, his family and friends (and would probably want us to mention his lifelong appreciation for John Deere).
He was stubborn, plain and simple, but he always had a soft spot for his grandchildren and, later, his great-grandchildren.
At his request, there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bashaw and District Food Bank or St. Peter’s Cemetery Fund.
