Chuck Disberry

Chuck Disberry passed away peacefully January 15, 2023 surrounded by his family.  His true joy was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends were very important and a big part of his life, he was always there to lend a helping hand or offer a great piece of advice whether it was solicited or not. He always made the time to chat and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He will be fondly remembered for his friendly laugh, ready smile and his colourful welder’s hat.

Chuck had a long enjoyable career at Alberta Hospital Ponoka where he made lasting memories and friendships with his colleagues. Retirement brought many winters in Arizona where he has left behind many friends. Chuck also enjoyed summers in his yard and time spent camping with his family and friends.

Chuck will be lovingly remembered by his soul mate and wife of 57 years, Rita; his daughter Colleen Weir (Tom);  his daughter Carey Spelrem (Mark), grandson Brant (Sara) and great-grandchildren Eastyn, Axel, and Nova, and granddaughter Joelle (Brad); his son Shane Disberry and granddaughter Gina (Turner); his daughter Jacinta Disberry, grandson Aaron, grandson Dylan (Laura) and great-grandchildren Jamie, Hailey, and Emily, granddaughter Jaden (Darnell), and grandson Jason; his sister Cindi Evans; his brother-in-law Tom Jordans; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Chuck will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Doris Disberry; his step-father J.B. Moriarty; and his sister Aleida Jordans. 

Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to S.T.A.R.S or your local Palliative Care.
