Cheryl Marie Grant (Cartier) of Ponoka passed away on March 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Cheryl was a loving wife, mother, sister, Grandma and friend to those who knew her best. She shared a wonderful life with her devoted husband Scott and was instrumental in shaping a close-knit family with her two children Nick and Makena. She adored her grandchildren Beckham, Tate, and Ophelia and treasured every moment spent with them. Known for her kindness, gentle spirit, and quiet strength, Cheryl had a way of making others feel seen and valued. Whether through small acts of care or the lifelong dedication of contributing to the community around her, she touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue through generations.
Cheryl is survived by her beloved husband, Scott Grant; children Nicholas (Stephanie) Grant and Makena (Kellyn) Pritchard; grandchildren Beckham, Ophelia, and Tate; sister Shelley (Shane) Archibald; brothers Larry (Fran) and Randy Cartier; father-in-law Elgin Grant; brother-in-law Barry (Sandy) Grant; sisters-in law Kari Grant and Brenda Cartier; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends who will forever hold her memory close. She was predeceased by her parents, Emile and Joyce Cartier; mother-in-law Norma Grant; and brothers Lyle and Dale Cartier.
Her presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A Celebration of Cheryl's life will be held at the Stagecoach Saloon (Ponoka Stampede Grounds) on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
