Charlene Wasp-Colin Obituary

Charlene Wasp-Colin was born on August 1, 1981 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, and passed away on March 2, 2025 in Red Deer, Alberta, at the age of 43 years. 

Charlene is survived by her son, Brayden Wasp-Colin; her significant other, Lee Kopitoski; her parents, James Hannaford and Angela Wasp-Colin; siblings, Louanne Wasp-Colin and Jamie Wasp-Colin; half-siblings, Calvin Lefou and Cara Watkinson; nephews, Landon Wasp-Colin, Dominick Wasp-Colin (Angel Nelson) and Kegan Wasp-Colin; nieces, Kasha Wasp-Colin and Kaylyn Wasp-Colin
great-nephew, Dawson Nelson; great-niece, Azarah Wasp-Colin; best friend, Carrie Taylor and family.

Charlene was predeceased by her brother, Joey Wasp-Colin; her half-brother, Jeffrey Thomas, and nephew, Kiya Wasp-Colin.


A visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Baker Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, at Baker Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow at the Wetaskiwin Cemetery.
