Carolyn enjoyed entertaining and cooked many old family recipes such as doh-gods, oven pancake, holopsies and pult. She continued to make these dishes for many years, and we will always think of her when we have these traditional favorites.
In the mid 1980’s Carolyn worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken and quickly moved up to a manager position. She became very close with many of the staff during these years.
In 1992 Carolyn met her soul mate Rick and moved to his farm near Falun. She quickly learned the joys of life on a farm, like helping with the daily chores & getting to know all their neighbors. Carolyn kept a beautiful garden, full of both vegetables and flowers, and had many frequentguests to her bird feeders.

In the last few years Carolyn’s health made it very hard for her to do much, but one of her favorite activities was to take a ride in the countryside with her sweetheart, Rick.Though Carolyn’s last years were full of medical interventions she still enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and really appreciated the support of her family.
A celebration of Carolyn’s life was held at Seigal Hill cemetery on Sept 6th where her family paid tribute to her and her grandchildren carried her to her final resting place.
