It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carolyn Marie Rossiter, who entered into rest on March 14, 2026.
Carol was born on December 22, 1953, in Wetaskiwin, Alberta to parents, Arthur and Rose Tylke, where she grew up on a farm in Falun, Alberta.
Carol is survived by her nephew, Daniel Tylke (Carmen); her niece, Meghan Hansen (Chris); great-nephew, Kade Hansen; cousins Brad Henke and Sandra Pothegadoo.
Carol had a true passion for cooking and spent many years as a dedicated chef at the Wayside Inn in Wetaskiwin, where she shared her talent and love of food with countless people. Outside the kitchen, she had a deep love for music that spanned genres from rock to jazz. On weekends, you could often find her enjoying live music at Blues on Whyte or spending time at home with friends jamming.
She will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Carol was predeceased by her mother, Rose Tylke; her father, Arthur Tylke; and her brothers, Allen Tylke and Wayne Tylke.
A Celebration of Carol's Life will be held from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at the Best Western Wayside Inn - Spatinow Room (4103 56 St, Wetaskiwin).
