It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Brian Clement on June 17, 2021. Brian was born in Rocky Mountain House on April 26, 1938, to Gilbert and Winnifred Clement.
Brian was a pioneer in the jet boat industry. He was a brilliant boat builder and fabricator. He started building boats in the 60’s. He was an entrepreneur in every sense of the word, from building gold mining equipment to a unique log lathe for building log homes. Brian was a go-to for many friends and family for their adventures: boating, hunting, gold mining, and camping. The river will rock and cradle his journey.
Brian is going to be greatly missed by his grandson Brandon; son-in-law Martin; his brother Ken (Val); three nephews; and families.
Since Brian’s passing, his daughter Lisa passed away.
Brian was predeceased by his wife Bernie; an infant granddaughter; as well as his parents Gilbert and Winnifred Clement.
Memorial donations in Brian’s name are gratefully accepted to Northcott Care Centre in Ponoka, Alberta.
Frances would like to thank the staff at Northcott Care Centre for their care and kindness shown to Brian and herself during the three years he lived there.
Anyone wishing to remember Brian can meet at the trunk road bridge on the North Saskatchewan River at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021. We will be honouring Brian with a boat procession down the river. If you do not have a boat, there will be plenty of boats and room.
