Braden Chase Gunsch

Words alone seem totally inadequate when trying to express the loss and sorrow of the sudden passing of Braden, beloved son of Bobbi-Sue Gunsch, at the young age of 26, in Edmonton, Alberta.

Braden was born in Wetaskiwin, Alberta and attended school in Ponoka, Alberta. A gifted musician and storyteller, he started a production company as a young adult and produced music with artists all over Canada and the US.

Braden was loyal, charming, personable, kind, had the sweetest smile, a giving heart, and a great sense of humour. He brought so much light into the lives of the people around him and he had a way of making people feel loved and cared for. Braden and his girlfriend Fatuma were looking forward to their future together and had hopes of starting a family.

Braden was a treasure and will be deeply missed by his mother, Bobbi-Sue; his nana (grandma) Linda Gunsch; his aunt Billie-Jo Gunsch; his cousin Johnathan Gunsch; and his girlfriend, Fatuma Ngole. This profound loss will be felt by Braden’s extended family: Uncle John (Terry) Christoffersen, Aunt Gayle Befus, Aunt Holly (Jim) Webber; cousins, Laramie (Peter), Lane (Lizz), Cassidy (Chanell), Cosmo (Heath), Jay (Jil), Joel, Sarah (Morgan), Jaclyn (Logan), and Jesse (Nikki). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandmother Joanne Hagen; his Uncle Dave (Ronnie) Gunsch; and his many friends and co-workers.

Braden was predeceased by his great-grandparents Oliver (Chris) Christoffersen and Joan Christoffersen, who were an integral part of Braden’s early life, and whom he adored.

A Celebration of Braden’s Life will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., at Bashaw United Church, 5036 52nd Ave, Bashaw, Alberta. Following the service, a lunch will be provided at the church.
