Bob Mass

Robert Ronald Mass passed away on August 3, 2025, peacefully in his sleep, at the age of 72. He was predeceased by his mother Ellen Lorena Hoffman, born October 8. 1922 in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, and his father Ernest Henry Mass, born December 25, 1914 in Sceptre, Saskatchewan.

His children never had to wonder of his love for them. He showed it in every phone call, every hug goodbye, and every trip whether it be vacation or just another drag strip. He leaves behind his 3 children and 5 grandchildren: Sara, her husband Damien Dennis and their two children Masen and Ellissa;  Brian, his wife Haley Mass and their two children Sydney and Zoey; and Levi Mass and his daughter Lily-Anne.

He will be missed almost as much as his story of the 9.8 second ¼ mile, the fastest amongst his nearest and dearest friends. The man behind the cars and engines lives on through his children, the knowledge he shared, and the bits of rubber on every strip from Rimbey to Castrol raceway.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Forest Home Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
