Bert Evertt Swanson

On September 4, 2019 Mr. Bert Swanson passed away at the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre at the age of 90 years.

Bert is survived by his brother Adrian; sister-in-law Joyce; nephews Brad and Dave (Angela); niece Leanne (Bart) Rohrick, great-nephew Jesse and great-niece Savanah; as well as numerous relatives and friends.  Bert was predeceased by his parents Axel and Ruth Swanson, and his brother Donald.

Bert enjoyed restoring old pump engines of all sizes and restored many tractors and a number of old vehicles.  Bert worked in construction and farmed in the Calumet district all of his life. 

Those wishing to pay their respects to Bert may do so at the Ponoka Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2019.  The Interment Service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the Calumet Cemetery and a Memorial Service will start at 1:30 p.m. at the Ponoka Funeral Home.

Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Calumet Community Centre.
