Audrey Dorene (Strohschein) Littman

Audrey Dorene was born June 17th, 1934 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta to Fred and Della Strohschein. She grew up on the family farm with her brother Allan.  

Audrey married Charles Littman on August 26, 1955. Together they lived a life of Christian ministry in Canada and the United States. 

Their only son Alan was born in 1959.  Tragically, Alan was killed at the young age of 19.  Charles and Audrey chose the difficult path of forgiveness, publicly sharing their decision to embrace faith and joy over bitterness.

After many moves, the Littmans returned to Wetaskiwin in 1985, where they enjoyed the company of friends, family and volunteering in their church community.  She cared for Charles until his death in August 2003, then remained active in church and social life, travelling and maintaining close friendships over many cups of coffee.

Audrey moved to Good Shepherd Home in 2021, she had become a beloved "adopted Mom" and "Aunty" to many, offering encouragement and support.  Audrey peacefully passed away on October 22, 2025.

She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Charles, and their son Alan, brother Allan, and sister-in-law Bernice.  Audrey will be held in fond & loving memory by her niece Sandy (Will) Newcomb, nephew Don (Julie) Strohschein, and their families.  Along with many cousins and close friends, numerous adopted family members including Vanessa (Brian) Prill, and Laurelle (Mike) Giesbrecht and families.  

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Church in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.
