Allan was born in Red Deer, Alberta on December 19, 1951 and passed away in Red Deer, Alberta on January 16, 2021. He grew up in Edmonton and later moved to Millet where he met the love of his life Darlene in 1981. They got married on September 24, 1983. Allan discovered his passion for heating and sheet metal while attending Nait trade school for 4 years. Allan worked in the community of Maskwacis, serving Ermineskin band throughout his career. Allan was a devoted, hard working family man and husband who took great pride in his work and made sure that nobody went without heat. His interests included classic rock music, movies, NASCAR, collecting hats and Harley Davidson apparel. He loved going to Castrol Raceway in the summer to watch the funny cars and jet cars race. He loved the outdoors, driving, and going anywhere with his family. Allan had a soft spot for many animals including his pets Zoey and Mika. He will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Darlene; their sons, Travis and Justin; siblings, Randy (Tina) Littlechild; Bruce (Flo Buffalo) Littlechild, Raymond Thomas (Suzanne McLeod) Littlechild, Priscilla Riel, Andrew (Betty Ann Burnstik) Littlechild, Douglas (Fiona Walker) Pope; brother-in-law, David Patenaude; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Allan was predeceased by his birth mother, Rosalie Mabel Littlechild; adoptive mother, Mary Jane Littlechild (Adam Pietsch); sister, Donna Patenaude, and numerous other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date to celebrate the life of Allan.
