Adam Cnossen Obituary

With deep sadness we announce the death of Adam Russell Cnossen, born in Bozeman, Montana and died in Ponoka, Alberta.  He was 42 years old.  He bravely fought his battle with cancer and succumbed to it on March 4, 2023.

Adam lived his first five years in Churchill, Montana.  His parents being missionaries, he then lived in the First Nations’ communities of Great Whale River, Quebec; Cormorant, Manitoba; and Timber Bay, Saskatchewan.  He graduated from high school in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and attended one and a half years post secondary at Nipawin Bible College.

Adam  held a few different jobs before settling into the carpentry trades.  He was skilled in drywall, painting and finish carpentry.  Presently, he was employed by Onside Restoration of Red Deer, Alberta.  He took great pleasure in  his work and had many side job opportunities because of his skill and desire to always do excellent work.

Adam was loved by many.  He had a gentle and kind nature, and was fiercely loyal as a brother and friend.  In health, he was physically very strong.  In sickness, he suffered without complaining and endured much loss.  Adam was a man of faith.  He put his trust in Jesus to save him from his sins.  He fought fiercely to beat his cancer but had peace in knowing that ultimately his home would be in heaven.

He loved the outdoors and activities like hiking, fishing and camping.  He was passionate about golf and football.  He loved a good cup of coffee and could drink it at any time.

Adam is survived by his parents Tom and Donna Cnossen; his twin brother Jody Cnossen and wife Laurie; his sister Katie Peters and husband Jerel; his nephews Ayden and Asher; and his nieces Alexi, Alyssa, Avi, London and Blakely.
