Abram "Abe" Neufeld

Abe Neufeld was born on December 28th, 1985, to parents Peter and Helena Neufeld. He will be dearly missed by his mom, Helena Driedger and her husband, Jake Driedger; siblings, Isaak and Victoria Neufeld, Peter and Susana Neufeld, Helyn and Josh Dueck, and David and Crystal Neufeld; many nieces and nephews, Natalee, Savannah, Jaxson, Isaak, Justina, Joseph, David, Abram, Peter, Tairus, Trenton, William, Alayna, and Elijah. Abe was predeceased by his dad, Peter Neufeld. 

Abe was an adventurer and was always willing to give each idea a chance.  He was extremely disciplined as he was a lifelong runner and was always  health conscious with his eating habits. He enjoyed kickboxing and hockey.  As a child, he developed a fascination for the Edmonton Oilers and  remained a faithful fan for his entire life. He was kind and generous and no  one will be able to forget his genuine smile. Most importantly, Abe held on to his belief in Jesus which gave him strength through the many sorrows he faced in his life. 

Abe worked for 14 years at Loewen Windows in Steinbach, Manitoba. He then explored a few different jobs in Winnipeg, Manitoba and also in Northern Alberta.  

It is with great sadness that Abe passed away on April 14th, 2025, at the age of 39. The family thanks the amazing team of health care professionals at the Royal Alexandra Hospital ICU, in Edmonton, that provided him with  the utmost care and respect. 

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at the 52nd Street Church of God (4114 52 St, Wetaskiwin), with a light Faspa following. Interment will take place at the Wetaskiwin Memorial Cemetery (4701 63 Avenue, Wetaskiwin).

After funeral expenses, donations in Abe’s memory will be forwarded by the family to the Herb Jamieson Centre in Edmonton.
