Aaron Pollard Obituary

Aaron Pollard
December 12, 1984 - January 4, 2021

Aaron lived his life fully and without holding back. He tried so hard to overcome his many health obstacles, until he couldn't fight any longer. On January 4th, 2021 at the age of 36, Aaron was finally set free from all the pain and suffering his body was putting him through.

Aaron was born in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta on December 12, 1984 and moved to Wetaskiwin in 1987, where he lived the rest of this life. Aaron was the youngest of 3 and the only boy. Being the only boy, Aaron was fiercely protective of his mom and his sisters. If you ask his sisters they would tell you that no matter how they were feeling, if Aaron was around to give a hug, it could immediately make you feel better. In addition to being a great son and brother, he was an amazing uncle. Truly the best uncle a kid could ever ask for.  In fact, he was known for giving ridiculous gifts such as giving his niece a fart gun. Aaron had an incredible sense of humour and his smile would light up any room he went into. Aaron found great joy in listening to any of his favourite bands such as Black Label Society, Punch Drunk Cabaret and ACDC, building intricate Lego figures, watching Star Wars or James Bond, cooking on the bbq or watching his beloved hockey team, the Edmonton Oilers. Aaron was happiest when he was riding his prized Harley or spending time with his beloved Chewie.

Aaron was predeceased by his father, Bruce Pollard; grandfather, Sterling Cuthbert; his grandparents, Frank & Olga Pollard; his papa Jer and of course his four-legged companions, Lacey and Maddy; and by Sean Connery, AKA James Bond.

He will be deeply missed by his mom, Laurie Pollard and her partner, Garry; he also will be greatly missed by his sister, Jennifer Marchuk, her fiancé Dave, Aaron’s nephew and niece, Jacob Pollard (Melissa) and Alley Marchuk (Joe) and Aaron’s great-nephew, Zayden; his sister, Melanie Milne and his nieces, Mackenzie and Emily; his grandma, Mary Dykstra and uncle, Wayne Farrell; his nieces Maddi and Brynlee; nephew Carter and their parents Marcus and Jessica Dewald and of course his best friend, Travis Littlechild. Aaron also had a special relationship with his uncles Tim and Greg Cuthbert as well as his uncle, Bob Pollard. He had many other aunts, uncles and cousins that will miss him as well.

If there is anything, we will remember of Aaron is that his smile and sense of humour could fill a room wherever he went. Aaron, you will be so missed.
