I just today learned of Wayne's passing and am overcome with shock and sadness. I will miss you, my friend...your quaint sense of humour and how you marvelled at the simplest things... "whei!"...you have a place in my heart. To Wayne's family, know that Wayne was a true light in my life.

Thank you. Your condolences bring some comfort to my pain. Our hearts are still heavy with sadness but we continue to somehow make it each day with the strength and love of each other. We were truly blessed to have him as our Dad for the time we were given.

Our family lost an amazing man, my Papa Wayne was the true definition of a family man. All of the memories we have will be cherished and held in our hearts forever. Papa Wayne was an amazing individual, always very supportive, encouraging, motivating, humourous and loving. Each day spent with Papa was truly a blessing. He always encouraged me to do my best in school and pushed me to be the best person I could be. We had multiple conversations before I went off to university and he told me that he had my back and knew I would do well, get good grades and succeed. He was my cheerleader and truly the best grandpa anyone could ever have. He always put a smile on my face and although some of the things he did were quirky, he was always a one of a kind person. I love him with all my heart and it is the biggest tragedy not only to my family, but to everyone who knew this wonderful person. Papa Wayne made a positive impact in every life he was involved in and touched the lives of each member of our family. He is forever loved and in our hearts, we will not forget you Papa. I love you so much. Xoxo

Pops..... I love you so very much and miss you deeply. My heart is unbearably heavy with sadness. Life will never be the same now that you are not here with us. I know you are watching over us each and every day, walking beside me, smiling down on me, our Guardian Angel. Your legacy will live on through us and your beautiful grandchildren.
